Tour on a yacht – active holidays at sea

If you have never tried sea cruise, you have come to the right place! Here we will briefly look at what it is, how it is organized, and how affordable it is for a vacation.

How is the yacht tour organized?

So, let’s start with the basic question: “How does it work?”. There are a lot of options here, for example, you want to order a yacht for a wedding, or corporate party, or something in this kind. This is always an individual offer that you will discuss with the charter company, here we will consider the standard option, for example, a weekly tour with a specific program. In this case, you can immediately see what and when you visit, how much it will cost and other details.

  1. So, your first step is to choose the best offer for yourself. You choose the time and place, the ship, and the tour program. As a rule, the charter company has quite a few different options for every taste and budget. It’s a lot like choosing a standard travel package.
  2. Next, you will need to resolve the remaining organizational issues. The most important of them is the purchase of air tickets. Almost always in such proposals, airfare is not included in the price of a yacht tour, so this issue will need to be addressed separately. But the manager with whom you are discussing the yacht charter will help you with this issue, so there should be no problems here.
  3. Next, you will need to make an advance payment and you can safely wait for the departure date.
  4. When you arrive in the country where your tour will take place, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the marina, where the yacht is ready to sail and where your adventure will begin.
  5. After a little preparation (briefing, resupply, and arranging the guests in the cabins), you go on a sea cruise.
  6. After it is completed, you arrive at the starting point, hand over the ship and go to the airport in an organized manner.

This is how a standard tour on a yacht looks like in general. Sometimes, due to the fact that you can not get plane tickets on the same day, you can spend a day or two in a hotel, waiting to go out to sea, or fly home.

What do you get for your money?

Typically, you get a place in a cabin, which can be compared to a small hotel room. Each cabin has a private bathroom. Also on board there is a shared kitchen, a lounge area, and a deck where you can sunbathe. In a word, a yacht is a small mobile hotel, and you book a room in it for the duration of your cruise.

How to prepare for a yacht cruise?

We want to note right away that no special preparation is required before a cruise on a yacht. You just need to take with you the things that you will need, for example, a camera, a computer, a favorite book, and everything that you cannot imagine your vacation without. We also recommend that you take a few things that will definitely come in handy:

  • Gloves. Almost always during such tours, the skipper conducts a master class in managing the ship, so in order not to rub your hands on the ship’s gear, take gloves with you.
  • Sun cream. On the high seas, it is very easy to get burned in the sun, so be sure to bring sunscreen with you.
  • 12V chargers. On the high seas, only 12 V sockets work on the yacht (as in a car).
  • Jacket. The sea can sometimes blow quite strong and cold winds, even in summer, so a jacket is a good idea.

Even if you choose some special option, for example, this yoga tour on a yacht in Turkey, everything anyway, no preliminary preparation is required, since the program is designed for both beginners and more experienced tourists.

What determines the cost of the tour?

In general, the cost of the tour depends on a combination of several factors. Here they are:

  1. The age and type of vessel. Catamarans and luxury yachts are bigger and more comfortable and of course they will cost you more. A motor yacht will cost more sailing and consumes much more fuel. Naturally, renting a new vessel will cost more than a 10-year-old one.
  2. Country and season (high/low season). Any country has a high and low season, and the difference in price can reach up to 25-30%. In addition, in some countries prices are higher at any time of the year than in others. So, for example, yacht rental in Turkey will always be cheaper than Spain, under other similar conditions, and the quality of service is almost the same.
  3. Booking time. The earlier you book, the cheaper it will be. This rule is universal, it also applies here.

For example, Yacht Tour “Secret Places” in Turkey the beginning of the high season on a modern sailing yacht is an excellent illustration of a budget and at the same time an interesting offer.

In any case, the manager of the charter company will answer all your questions, so you can easily find the best solution for yourself.

We still have not decided which yacht tour to order or which to rent a yacht? Then the specialists of Sparks Life Worldwide are ready to help you. Write or call us for any question. We will be happy to answer.
